Barn Owl Cottage and The Old Cattle Stall were converted at the end of 2010 in traditional style with exposed oak beams and finished to a high standard.  Both cottages offer a comfortable yet stylish interior. Ideally situated on a quiet country lane in North Dorset these delightful cottages are set in a two acre paddock.  The paddock offers a pleasant and peaceful outlook attracting a variety of birdlife with Barn Owl Cottage having views of the paddock from all main rooms.

Wyke is well-placed just a mile from Gillingham, which has a main-line railway station, where you will find local amenities including Waitrose and within half a mile from the cottages is the Buffalo Inn which serves food daily. 

Taking a holiday in North Dorset brings the counties of Wiltshire and Somerset within easy reach.  Nearby Longleat safari park or the West Knoyle Bison Centre offers a unique day out.  With such beautiful countryside there are many fantastic places to walk and explore, including the house and gardens at Stourhead, the Fleet Air Arm Museum,  the historic cities of Salisbury, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury, Stonehenge, the Fonthill Estate, Wilton House, Sherborne Abbey and Castle, Shaftesbury's Gold Hill to name but a few.  In contrast, the World Heritage Jurassic Coast is just over an hour’s drive away, as well as Poole Harbour.  The whole of Dorset has so much to offer, all the year round, it's a great location for a holiday or just to get away for a short break.
